SUMMARY:
The Assistant Golf Professional plays a key role in assisting the Head Golf Professional in Whitetail Club golf operations, including tee time management, staff performance, event promotion and management, merchandising operation, teaching and junior golf programs. As a key member of the Club, the Assistant Golf Professional is accountable for the day-to-day golf club operations, both member, guest and staff experience.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
· Promotes the game of golf at Whitetail Club, in the community and spreads enthusiasm and good will amongst employees, members and guests.
· Promotes Whitetail Club to facilitate membership sales.
· Maintains standard operating procedures.
· Assists in hiring and training of staff in golf operations.
· Assists in executing programs in the areas of:
o Merchandising
o Service
o Tournaments and activities
o Adult and junior Instruction
o Golf equipment maintenance
· Works with the Director of Whitetail Club and Superintendent to strive for excellence in the golf operation.
· Supervises golf staff including:
o Golf Shop Attendants
o Golf Intern Services Personnel
o Golf Shop and Outside Golf Services Personnel
· Stays current with PGA and maintains a thorough understanding of overall club operations.
· Dresses appropriately and presents a positive and professional image towards the membership and community.
· Assists in managing golf employees for consistency in appearance, service and overall golf operation performance.
- Provides and enforces Golf Operations Handbook for guidelines and training.
- Supervises a successful Junior Sports Program, continually attracting new players into the program.
- Provides a successful teaching program for all players (to include Trackman training).
- Works well with others and develops programs to motivate staff to excel. Be a positive collaborator on all levels.
- Helps create and maintain Club traditions to build the community within Whitetail Club.
- Provides good leadership in management.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· 2 year’s experience in private golf club operations.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or comparable is preferred.
· Clear and concise communication skills coupled with the ability to follow through timely.
· Event promotion and management skills coupled with demonstrated team building experience.
· Excellent personnel and time management skills.
· Golf instruction and golf club fitting knowledge.
