Marina Attendant Job Description
The Marina Attendant role at Whitetail Club involves overseeing daily marina operations. This includes collaborating with the reservations team to maximize opportunities for slip and boat rentals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Shore Lodge fleet of boats
- Accurately track marina slip, boat, and equipment rentals
- Verify marina reservations daily and prepare tasks for the day's activities
- Return boats at the end of the day (docking, cleanup, line maintenance)
- Prepare and captain lake tours and sailing lessons
- Organize seasonal and daily slip rentals
- Maintain marina lines and fenders
- Daily preventative boat maintenance (verification of fluid levels and lift maintenance)
- Ensure the organization and cleanliness of all marina areas (docks and dock boxes)
- Assist with docking guests' boats
- Launch company fleet boats and guests' boats at the local boat ramp
- Fuel company fleet boats
- Be knowledgeable about all resort operations to provide assistance when needed
- Take initiative on projects that require attention without direct supervision
Requirements:
- Ability to multitask while providing superior customer service skills
- Effective communication with guests and coworkers
- At least 3 years of experience in the Marina/Recreation Industry
- Experience launching boats with accuracy and safety
- Strong familiarity with various boat/water vehicle operations
- Experience driving or captaining motorized vessels
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Previous Sailing and Kayak experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
