The Operating Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical and electrical systems within the hospital. This includes high-pressure boilers, hot water boilers, chillers, building automation systems, and HVAC equipment.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting current and potential problems, conducting preventative maintenance, and understanding how to operate hospital emergency power equipment and associated distribution systems.
