Responsibilities
- Perform all laboratory procedures as required according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Utilize quality control for decision making on a routine basis to establish standards.
- Communicate critical values in accordance with departmental policy.
- Accurately perform STAT and routine orders within established time limits.
- Demonstrate teamwork and recognize problems, taking appropriate action.
- Prioritize workload based on volume/urgency and collect/process specimens safely.
Requirements
- Mt (ASCP) or MLT (ASCP) or eligible to sit for exam.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and medical terminology.
- Intermediate computer skills and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
