Key responsibilities may include :
Nutritional assessments :
Conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments of each resident, including dietary history, medical records review, anthropometric measurements, and lab results to identify nutritional deficiencies or risks.
Meal planning :
Creating individualized meal plans based on resident needs, considering allergies, food intolerances, medical conditions, and dietary preferences.
Menu development :
Collaborating with the dietary staff to design menus that meet the nutritional needs of the resident population while considering palatability and variety.
Nutrition education :
Providing nutrition education to residents, families, and nursing staff on healthy eating habits, dietary modifications, and food choices to promote optimal nutrition.
Weight monitoring :
Regularly monitoring resident weight and body composition to identify potential malnutrition or weight changes requiring intervention.
Collaboration with healthcare team :
