Salary: $25 an hour and up DOE
Shoreline Christian School, located north of Seattle, is seeking a part time teacher for Music Teacher Pre-K - 2nd Grade starting in the 25-26 school year. We offer medical, dental, vision, 403B, life insurance, and PTO. Hourly rate starts at $25 an hour and up DOE. Our greatest accomplishment and hope as teachers is that every child will know that they are special and created in Gods image.
This is a unique opportunity to integrate faith and learning in action and to individualize attention while developing the God-given strengths of each student. Due to small class sizes, there is more room to work with each student, targeting areas that need development and fine-tuning those strengths. More than merely teaching students the raw building blocks of learning, you will enable students to live as dynamic and transforming influences in the world. Our music teacher teaches 30-minute lessons twice a week to students in PreK - 2nd grade. Our curriculum highlights lots of movement, Rhythm, music appreciation and connections with literature. Students participate in up to three events each year: Grandparents' Day, a Christmas concert and Spring concert. We have a weekly chapel in which the children could sometimes participate. This position will be approximately 8 - 10 hours a week.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in Christian education and a degree in elementary education are highly desirable. As a community with a sharedstatement of faith, an active, intentional, and embodied Christian faith is essential. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check, receipt of all college transcripts, and all other state requirements for private schools.

- Bachelor degree in education or related field
- Experience working with students ages PreK-2nd grade
- A bachelor degree in Elementary Education
- A valid Washington State teaching certificate
- Knowledge of and/or experience with instruction of youth using sound research-based instruction, best practices, and pedagogy
- Experience in teaching music with students PreK-2nd grade
- Knowledge of and application of educational technology
