Shoreline Covenant Preschool is a small preschool in Shoreline, WA that operates as part of Shoreline Covenant Church. Job Description – Preschool Teacher – Shoreline Covenant Preschool
Shoreline Covenant Church (SCC) seeks to be a diverse, Christ-centered community that glorifies God as we gather in worship and fellowship, grow in faith and relationship, and go out into the world to share the good news of Jesus. We gather, grow, and go, all for the glory of God! Shoreline Covenant Preschool operates under the umbrella of SCC and its purpose statement (above).
Position Classification: Casual Employee
Hours: 15 hours/week (Tuesday through Thursday, with strong preference for Sunday morning worship attendance)
Compensation: $24/hour starting point, with a review after the first 6 months and at 12 months

Personal Qualification:
1. An active, vital, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as personal savior
2. A personal alignment with the above purpose statement and the overall vision and direction of Shoreline Covenant Church and Preschool.
3. Alignment with the qualifications as laid out in the Employee Handbook (to be made available during interview process).
4. Humility and gentleness, embodying grace and truth in all interactions with coworkers, students and families, as well as all church community members
Job Function Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and organized
2. Understanding of early learning and developmental stages of growth in children
3. Willingness to work with the broader team in determining curriculum content, scope, and sequence
4. Ability to take direction from the Preschool Director as supervisor
5. Ability to give direction to your teacher's aid in helpful and positive ways
6. Ability to engage well with students form diverse backgrounds and family settings
