We are looking for an experienced forklift driver that works well independently as well as in a team setting to join our warehouse crew.
Night Shift: 6:45pm- 7:00 am on a 4-day on 4-day off rotational shift (4 day vacation every week!)

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Forklift Driver position is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product. This position is also responsible to verify shipment contents on all incoming and outgoing shipments and expedite shipping and receiving of customer product into or from warehouse storage, and provide warehouse support to all production operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Move freight, product, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers by forklift, hand trucks or by hand when necessary.
- Maintain appropriate records of product handled, using required paperwork and electronic inventory system verifying tight inventory control and security are maintained
- Examine incoming stock items for wear or defects.
- Inspect and ensure trailers are clean and in good condition prior to loading.
- Properly identify containers or mark them with identifying information when required.
- Assist in physical inventories.
- Keeping the dock areas clean and free from debris and cleaning the freezer area of snow and ice buildup.
Interdepartmental Relationships:
Communicate and cooperate with personnel from other departments as all are dependent on each other for the overall successful operation of the company.
Competencies and Skills Required:
- Obtain forklift license with Shoreline Fruit by completing the driver's test and daily evaluations.
- The ability to judge heights and distances to ensure safe forklift movements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Self-starter and conscientious of other employees, product safety, employee safety, and equipment.
- Able to work cooperatively with peers, managers, and contract personnel.
- Ability to communicate problems and directions clearly to lead co-workers.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED plus 6 months to 1 year of previous forklift experience.
- Basic math skills necessary.
- Valid driver's license.
Safe Work Practices:
- Diligently monitor work area for any potential safety hazards and react appropriately/efficiently to eliminate potential accidents.
- Complete accident reports as needed, with support from the Safety Manager.
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
- Support operations management team in safety program initiatives.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
