Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Engineer

Summary: Proper maintenance and preservation ensure guests receive the best experience possible. Maintenance technicians are responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to physical structures, equipment and grounds. Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries and applying preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs general maintenance, painting and plumbing
  • Paints and repairs walls, trim, furniture, fixtures, cabinets, tables, doors and windows
  • Replaces worn or damaged parts, belts, filters and hoses
  • Adjusts and performs minor repairs to heating and pumping equipment
  • Clears clogged drains and repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures
  • Replaces light bulbs and lighting fixtures
  • Installs or assembles furniture and equipment according to layout plans
  • Assists with moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies
  • Performs outdoor clean-up such as pulling weeds, raking leaves, planting and picking up debris
  • Empties trash cans and transports trash for weekly pickups
  • Removes snow and ice to maintain parking lots and sidewalks
  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment
  • May operate a company vehicle for pick up or delivery (pending a valid driver license and motor vehicle report)

Requirements:

  • One year of general building maintenance experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • High math skills

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, vibration, risk of electrical shock, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
