Fabrication Team Lead
Summary
The Fabrication Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the fabrication department, ensuring the efficient and effective production of components and products. The team lead is a working leadership position that provides assistance as required while also fabricating parts. This role involves developing standard operating procedures, supervising fabrication department employees, process optimization, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Essential Functions

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of skilled fabricators, providing direction and feedback, under the direction of the Production Manager.
- Coordinate and oversee daily fabrication activities. Ensure that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Maintain production processes including work orders/job folders, standard operating procedures, material usage, and time.
- Troubleshoot complex welding and fabrication projects and provide guidance to employees for those tasks.
- Coach employees on standard and complex welding techniques and how to utilize the ERP system.
- Participating in and overseeing a wide variety of fabrication projects.
- Responsible for filling in for the Production Manager when required.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
Requirements/Qualifications

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
