This posting serves as the 2024/2025 Applicant Pool for candidates qualified to work as 1:1 (Special Education) Paraeducators in grades 9-12 at Shorecrest High School

Positions Available In The Following Areas (all Special Education)

  • Directed Studies
  • Transition Program
  • LIFE Program
  • BLS

All candidates must be Highly Qualified, defined as any of the following:

  • Two years of study (72 credits) or more at an institution of higher education. All classes must be at level 100 or higher.
  • Associate degree or higher. All degrees are acceptable.
  • Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment. The assessment measures skills and content knowledge related to reading, writing, and math.

Benefits

Classified-SESPA employees received Sick Leave & Personal Leave. Some positions may received Vacation.

Classified-SESPA employees who work an average of 17.5 hours per week* are entitled to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Long Term Disability.

  • Additional eligibility requirements must be met at certain times during the year.
