We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced medical office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient patient flow. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients while supporting the administrative functions of the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly as they arrive at the clinic.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Perform insurance verification to ensure coverage and eligibility prior to patient visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records and care plans using computerized systems.
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Coordinate with dental office staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Handle 10 key typing tasks for billing and coding purposes efficiently.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or dental clinic is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and care plan documentation is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using phone systems and computerized scheduling software is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with patients and staff.
