What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist OT Full Time position at Shores Nursing and Rehab Center?
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST OT
MUST BE A GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROGRAM AS A OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST OT, HAVE TAKEN THE NBCPT EXAM OR ELIGIBLE TO TAKE IT AS A NEW GRADUATE OT AND HAVE A STATE LICENSE TO PRACTICE AS ONE OR ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ONE.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
- Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
- Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
- Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
Requirements / Qualifications :
Experience with long-term care and / or geriatric care is preferred but not required if you are a new graduate of an accredited OT Program.
