Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing excellent professional customer service at all times while ensuring a clean, well-stocked store that will meet or exceed company expectations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

A. JOB DUTIES
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provides courteous and efficient customer service, works closely with food, stocks shelves, maintains interior and exterior store appearance, and sells tobacco products while ensuring all laws regarding such sale are followed.
CASH MANAGEMENT: Operates cash register and credit card machine and is responsible for cash accountability at end of shift.
PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED: Performs a variety of general duties, dispensing of propane, ordering, restocking products, cleaning and maintaining the facility, and other routine functions.
DRESS CODE: Employees will be given a company uniform to wear while on duty. Employees may wear black or blue jeans or khakis. Clothing must be kept in a clean and neat manner. Employees are expected to maintain good personal hygiene and a professional appearance.

D. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
Education: High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience: Six months work experience which included previous money handling, credit card and cash register responsibilities is required preferably in a retail and/or gas station environment.
Licensure/Certification: Must possess an Alaska State Food Worker’s Card.
Other Qualifications: Must be 19 years old in order to sell tobacco products. Incumbent must provide excellent customer service with respect, courtesy and efficiency and must be able to work cooperatively with others and possess the ability to make decisions according to pre-defined guidelines.
Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position. This position could require over time.
English Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
