Orthodontic Assistant

Overview
Are you tired of all of the drama in a large dental office? Come join our small (but mighty) team. Our orthodontic practice, located in Short Pump, is looking for a clinical assistant to join our team. Daily duties would include direct patient orthodontic care on children and adults; taking digital radiographs, scans and photos; intraoral impressions; fabricating study models and retainers; digital recordkeeping, instrument sterilization, and other general office duties. Experience with dental chairside assisting, especially with children, and some orthodontic experience is preferred, though we are willing to train. Candidates must be friendly, willing to work as part of a team, detail oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate will be bilingual with Spanish and have Radiation Safety Certification. They will have a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve their best smiles. Average work week is 28-34 hours with Fridays off, paid major holidays and PTO. Qualified applicants should send a resume with qualifications, three references and any questions. Experience

• Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred, particularly within an orthodontic setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
