Shortee's Automotive is seeking a sharp, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Automotive Service Coordinator. Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer multiple phone lines and manage customer inquiries efficiently.
- Schedule service appointments and obtain vehicle/client information in advance when possible.
- Accurately document vehicle concerns on repair orders (RO) and ensure customer signatures.
- Provide clear and complete cost estimates for labor and parts.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers about repair status, changes, and authorizations.
- Order parts from dealers and vendors, and handle parts deliveries, returns, and eBay listings.
- Collaborate with technicians to review repairs and recommendations.
- Monitor vehicle diagnostics (check engine lights, etc.) to help prioritize scheduling.
- Assist with organizing paperwork, checks, and maintaining an orderly office.
- Prepare next-day parts delivery carts and coordinate after-hours pickup arrangements.
- Maintain cleanliness of the office, break room, and bathroom.
- Replenish office supplies, printer paper, coffee pods, cups, and cleaning items.
- Close the office daily by batching out the credit card machine, turning off devices, and locking up.
- Other responsibilities include cleaning of office, break-room and bathroom. Replenishing office and coffee supplies. Posting online eBay part sales.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service or automotive services is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using computers and basic office software.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to occasionally assist with moving vehicles and lifting items.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
