Campus Visit and Even Coordinator
Job Summary
The Campus Visit & Event Coordinator (CVEC) is the coordinator and event planner for the Office of Admissions. The CVEC contacts the student worker/ambassador, admissions counselor, and the Deans and/or his/her assistant to coordinate Campus Tours/meetings with prospective students and parents. The CVEC maintains the ‘Welcome’ sign for our prospective students. The CVEC updates and maintains the Campus Visit and Preview Day event registration on the Shorter University website (includes JRM). The CVEC should exhibit a team mentality and should foster this approach among all the support staff.
The CVEC reports to the Director of Admissions. The CVEC works with these support staff positions to provide a positive work environment and to streamline systems for efficiency and productivity. The CVEC is the liaison between our prospective students and the support staff, Director of Admissions, and the Vice President of Enrollment Management.
Qualifications
High School graduate, college graduate preferred
Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office products
Strong oral, written, and organizational skills
Familiarity with Jenzabar
Pleasant attitude and good interpersonal skills
Must agree to and abide by the Lifestyle Agreement as outlined by Shorter University
A commitment to serve Christ, current and prospective students and families, and the university
Job Duties
Greet prospective students, parents, and/or other guests.
Maintain overall appearance of the commons area in the Office of Admissions.
Coordinate ‘admissions talk’ with the Admissions Counselor.
Assists other faculty and staff (including coaching staff) with prospective student information.
Maintain and complete daily tasks via JRM.
Work with OIT to maintain Campus Visit and Preview Day registration processes.
Communicate with prospective students about his/her upcoming Campus Visit and/or Preview Day.
Conduct Campus Tours (as needed).
Complete data entry.
Coordinate and supervise ambassadors and student workers.
Answer incoming phone calls to the main line in the Office of Admissions.
Meet with students and parents regarding admissions.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and/or the Vice President of Enrollment Management
