JOB TITLE: MHP-Mental Health Professional
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Directly responsible to the Team Leader and Supervisor of Mental Health Counseling
JOB DUTIES OF MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST
This position is responsible for the implementation of therapeutic services which achieve the purpose of this program component which includes, but not limited to, the following:
1. Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
2. Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports;
3. Counsel clients and patients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes;
4. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge;
5. Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans;
6. Meet with families, probation officers, police, and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process;
7. Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary;
8. Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and clients' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives;
9. Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed in order to comply with changes in clients' status;

11. Adhering to all Shoulders of Strength, Inc. Policies and Procedures
12. Maintain a caseload not to exceed thirty (30) clients at any given time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1. Applicant must have a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology;
- 2. A minimum of (2) years combined work experience in a direct service capacity is desired;
- 3. Applicant must be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner is crucial;
- 4. Possess the ability to work with diverse groups of people;
- 5. Must be knowledgeable of standard treatment approaches and trend

Salary: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
