*OVERVIEW
Busy custom home builder office needing an eager candidate to learn 2020 and/or Chief Architect software drafting and design skills. We aren’t your average home builders, we specialize in shed homes, barndominiums or as we like to call them, Shouses. Candidate must have experience with building processes and codes, an interest in architectural design and have the desire and ability to learn Chief Architect and Rivet design software.
Job Responsibilities

• Create working blueprints based on the designers sketches, ideas/concepts

• Communicate with the client & designer to get all the details necessary to draw up the building

• Produce a working set of blueprints with foundation, walls, and elevation layouts for builders to use in the field

• Draft structural layouts I.E., floor joists, trusses, post layouts, and timber frame members

• Create detailed designs with design software (Chief Architect and Rivet)

• Ensure final designs comply with code regulations and quality standards

• Assist staff and subcontractors with questions on the building

• Answer questions and assist clients in the building process

• Seeking someone to start as a part-time designer 10-30 hours per week to start. Hours are flexible.

• Contracted per project, pay depends on experience and ability to learn

• The right candidate will grow with the company, with an increase in job duties as we continue to grow
