Are you passionate about connecting communities, promoting local arts, and supporting economic development? The Roadhouse, a vibrant community performance space located at the Angle Lake Light Rail Station in the City of SeaTac, seeks a dedicated and creative Public Relations Specialist to join our team.
Position Details:
- Position Type: Part-time
- Hourly Rate: $45/hour, 5 hours per week.
- Duration: Through December 31, 2025 (no benefits offered for the contract duration).
- Probationary Period: 3 months, as experience to bring evidence of outcomes.
- Hours: Flexible, with an emphasis on achieving measurable outreach goals with mandatory weekly review with the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Traveler Outreach: Strategically connect with travelers at SeaTac International Airport and visitors staying in local hotels to drive interest and attendance at The Roadhouse.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with the surrounding SeaTac community to increase local audience attendance and participation.
- Local Business Collaboration: Work with businesses to encourage their use of The Roadhouse as a community hub, fostering economic development and mutual support.
- Event Promotion: Assist in promoting events at The Roadhouse that celebrate diversity, emphasizing its role as a welcoming and inclusive space.
- Content Creation: Develop compelling press releases, social media campaigns, and promotional materials to amplify The Roadhouse’s mission and activities.
Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with:
- Proven PR experience, preferably in the arts, entertainment, or community-focused initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for building community connections and fostering local economic growth.
- Familiarity with the SeaTac area and its diverse population is a strong advantage.
