Technicians are responsible for all incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. This position requires all staff to load and offload trucks, pallets, and products from shelves. Diligent inventory management and reporting are required to ensure accuracy at all times. All technicians are responsible for following proper incoming and outgoing delivery protocol and are responsible for safely assisting other associates with shipments. This position includes some driving responsibilities of our trucks and vans to and from show sites.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Setting up, working, and striking events produced by Show Imaging or its’ affiliates. The role will be a point of contact for our Production Managers, clients, and crew on the day of an event to ensure that all aspects of the event run smoothly, and we exceed the client’s expectations.
- Meeting with and provide customer service to clients, conducting site visits, etc.
- Create and interpret lighting designs for entertainment, corporate events
- Operate and trouble shoot complex lighting systems
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance with lighting department
- Collaborate with other production team members to meet lighting needs for an array of events
- Provide guidance to junior technicians and depot personnel
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 5 Years of stage lighting experience preferred.
- College degree or experience in related fields is preferred,
- Experienced and proficient in lighting design and direction
- Experienced and proficient with Hog and/or Grand MA lighting consoles, media servers, networking, and professional lighting fixtures.
- Experienced and proficient in Vectorworks CAD design software
- Familiarity with & interest in video and audio equipment a plus
- Familiarity with basic signal flow principals required.
- Experienced and proficient in lighting warehouse preparations.
- Proficient with all load in / load out activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security and safety requirements.
- Familiarity with general inventory and inventory tracking system (Flex) preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot/problem-solve issues presented by clients or another crew member throughout events.
- Must be professional when client facing and understand how to manage client expectations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to safely lift, move and transport equipment, materials and tools weighing 50 lbs. (unassisted) or more to complete assigned projects.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, as well as bend, stoop, crawl, stretch, climb, and lift repeatedly.
- Must be able to work in various climates and conditions both indoors and outdoors.
- Work performed in a combination of warehouse, outdoor, venue and office environments.
- Exposed to warehouse and outdoor elements such as noise, dust, and weather.
- Use of carts, dollies, pallet jacks and other gear to move items around
- Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable).
- Work at a height of up to 30 feet or more/ on mezzanine (where applicable).
