Duties
- Supervise and assist students during bus rides to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a calm and orderly environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring they are safely seated.
- Collaborate with bus drivers to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise.
- Provide first aid when necessary, responding promptly to any medical situations.
- Maintain a respectful and supportive atmosphere for all students, promoting positive interactions.
- Document any incidents or concerns related to student behavior or safety.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly in a special education setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and interact with students.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
- First aid certification is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in childcare or classroom settings is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while being attentive to individual student needs.
