Summary
The Stagehand is responsible for successful load-in, production, and load-out of shows, conventions, concerts, and other live events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Unload trucks and set up road cases and materials
- Assemble and disassemble parts
- Set up lighting, props, and audio/video equipment
- Set up risers and musical equipment
- Install and build scenery
- Disassemble and store sets
- Work with electricians and lighting assistants
- Clean up stage and backstage after performance
Required Qualifications
- Available to work long, irregular hours and days
- Experience as a Stagehand in the live event industry
- Efficiency and flexibility under constraints
- Ability to follow directions from Crew Leads, Stage Managers, and Clients
- Maintaining a positive, friendly attitude under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as general stagehand, including audio/video, lighting, carpentry, and all other forms of stagecraft
- Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted, and walk while pushing boxes
- CDL License/Forklift OP is a plus
