Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, respectful support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, household tasks, and community involvement.
- Empower clients to achieve greater independence by engaging them in social, educational, and recreational activities.
- Observe and document changes in client behavior or health, communicating updates to the care team.
- Build and maintain a positive, trusting relationship with each client and their family.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check or obtain a good cause waiver.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a caring nature.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Every other weekend is required.
