CREW MEMBER
Reports to: Shift Leader/Assistant General Manager/General Manager – Champs Chicken
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
As a Crew Member at Champs Chicken, you will be an integral part of delivering excellent customer service and supporting the restaurant's day-to-day operations. You will assist with food preparation, ensure cleanliness, and provide a positive experience for every guest. Your dedication and teamwork will help maintain our high standards of food quality and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and engage customers in a friendly, professional manner. Provide excellent service by taking orders, answering questions, and delivering food in a timely and courteous manner.
- Prepare and assemble food orders according to Champs Chicken’s standards. Ensure all food items are cooked and presented correctly and safely.
- Keep your work areas, including the kitchen, dining area, and restroom, clean and organized according to health and safety standards.
- Work alongside fellow Crew Members and Shift Leaders to ensure a smooth operation during shifts. Assist with various tasks as needed, including cleaning, restocking, and food prep.
- Ensure food is of the highest quality, meeting Champs Chicken’s standards for taste, appearance, and hygiene.
- Operate the point-of-sale system, ensuring accuracy with cash and card transactions.
- Assist with order packaging and ensure orders are accurate and delivered to customers promptly.
- Help with stocking supplies, keeping track of inventory, and ensuring that all necessary materials are available for service.
- Adhere to all safety and food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of both customers and team members.
- Address customer concerns or issues with professionalism and work towards a resolution that maintains guest satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is generally performed in a restaurant environment.
- Frequently work with high temperatures associated with the cooking equipment.
- Regular exposure to cold temperatures while working in food coolers and freezers.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including a variety of shifts, days, evenings, nights, and weekends including overtime, as needed.

- Lift/carry up to 10 pounds constantly, 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Continuously stand and/or walk on hard floors to prepare and cook food, get stock items, and transport items to/from the kitchen, stock room, food prep area and front lines for extended periods.
- Frequently push or pull trash cans, brooms, mops, and mop buckets.
- Occasionally to frequently climb a foot stool or ladder to reach items located on shelves, in coolers, freezers, stockrooms, etc.
- Frequently stoop or squat to reach items on low shelves or on the floor.
- Continuously reach overhead, forward, and underneath shelving, counters, tables, refrigeration units, racks, drink dispensers, and food service equipment.
- Continuously verbally communicate with and listen to customers, management and other team members in English to ensure optimal performance and safety.
