Event Supervisor
Summary of Position
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of event logistics, including planning, coordinating, and executing various events, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining safety standards, and managing staff to deliver successful experiences for attendees, while adhering to budget and timelines; often working closely with event planners and other departments to execute event details effectively.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to : Events Manager
Supervises : Events Housemen, Banquet Servers
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with clients, vendors, staff, and guests
- Must be able to speak, read, write and communicate in English to adequately perform the duties of the job
- Ability to motivate and manage a team, delegate effectively, and make quick decisions under pressure
- Capacity to identify and resolve issues promptly and efficiently during event execution
- Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette service standards
- Strong supervisor skills to rally and motivate staff
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Must be energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs
- Work varying schedules that include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates .
Education and Experience
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook and other required systems.
