Showmen Supplies is a specialty distributor of lighting and electrical equipment in the entertainment and amusement industries. We are seeking an experienced accounting clerk to join our team.
Summary/Objective: The accounts payable clerk is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and data entry functions. This role is responsible for managing and processing all entities bills and invoices, including verifying accuracy, coding invoices, and ensuring timely payments to vendors, while also maintaining accurate financial records.
Essential Functions
- Shared responsibility for data entry work necessary to ensure entries are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring payments are made on time and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Review records of accounts and input entries into proper accounts.
- Develop and implement proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
- Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education and Experience:
2 years experience in a data entry role
Associate degree or equivalent in Accounting or other related fields
Required Education and Experience:
2 years experience with QuickBooks
2 years experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
