Showmen Supplies is a specialty distributor of lighting and electrical equipment in the entertainment and amusement industries. We are seeking an experienced outside salesperson who is free to travel and ready for the financial success that working for a well-established company provides.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, well organized, and enthusiastic sales professional. Our Traveling Outside Sales Rep utilized a mobile warehouse set-up to service customers at locations across the United States. Servicing the portable amusement industry customer base that's actually eagerly awaiting your arrival, no cold calls, no gatekeeper to stop you at the door.
What We Provide:
- Paid on-the-job training to learn the processes, systems, and products to do your job effectively.
- Paid training to acquire CDL Class A license to transport your mobile warehouse.
- Competitive beginning salary ranging between $85,000 - $115,000 a year (for just ten months of work!)

- Ability and interest to travel extensively and transport a company provided mobile warehouse with a semi-tractor-trailer.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsibility for conducting point-of-purchase sales from a company mobile warehouse at various customer locations throughout the country.
- Develop relationships with our established customer base to generate sales growth and increase market share.
- Oversee and participate in the restocking of the mobile warehouse between sales trips.
- Accurately and efficiently account for sales, receipts, inventory and expenses from each sales trip as per established protocols.
- As part of the company’s sales team, make substantive contributions to our sales and marketing strategies.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to manage all aspects of the sales you conduct in the field including overall customer satisfaction, inventory control, invoicing and reconciling of sales data when returning to headquarters.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout most of the calendar year. This role is somewhat seasonal with the highest intensity of travel in the spring & summer and months and being off duty at the end of the calendar year.
- Experience with B2B or industrial sales would be helpful in this role; particularly any experience in the electrical or lighting fields.
- Problem solving & innovation skill set, including the ability to identify and overcome customer objections in the sales process.
- A very strong sense of personal responsibility as evidenced by a clean driving record and viable results from a criminal background check and personal credit history check.

Work Environment
This job operates mainly out of a mobile warehouse or outdoors at customer locations in changing weather conditions (including, but not limited to rain, extreme heat, etc.) and occasionally in a professional office environment while back at headquarters. This role routinely uses laptop computers and smart phones to communicate with customers and ensure accurate order entry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, drive, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
