What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator (Laminator) position at Showplace Cabinetry?
Are you a skilled operator looking for an exciting new opportunity? We have just the job for you! Our dynamic manufacturing team is looking for a talented machine operator to join us in producing top-quality cabinets.
Position Summary:
Perform all tasks involved in creating quality products. Operate and maintain machine to laminate sheets of plywood. Assure proper inventory of laminated product by seeing what materials are needed and when, follow demonstrated instructions, and maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition that follows prescribed safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Apply paper to plywood and particle board material
2. Change out laminating paper on the machine
3. Operate forklift in a safe manner to move material as needed
4. Maintain quality standards
5. Perform preventative maintenance on machine and clean daily. Troubleshoot laminator machine when not functioning properly
6. Maintain production levels for Framed and Full Access facilities
7. Other duties as assigned
Working Hours:
- Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm
- Friday 7am until production is complete (no later than 5pm)
- Rare Saturdays
General Requirements:
Showplace provides job specific training prior to assigning employees to their position. We are looking for a candidate that either possesses or is willing to acquire the following skills:
- Must be 18 or older
- Basic reading & writing skills
- Computer fluency
- Ability to stand for more than a few hours at a time
- Ability to bend and twist over the course of your shift
- Fluency with tape measure
- Communicate well with co-workers on work-related topics and questions
- Ready to work in a fast-paced environment
- Work in a loud environment
- Receive fork lift certification
