Position Overview:
SHR Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer responsible for the design, documentation, and implementation of cybersecurity solutions across cloud and IT systems. Supports technical writing, system documentation, workflow automation, and operational reporting to maintain system security posture and optimize cybersecurity operations in compliance with DoD requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop white papers addressing common cybersecurity issues, providing recommendations and workarounds.
- Assist in collecting and organizing technical information for the creation of user manuals, installation guides, training materials, optimization proposals, and reports.
- Edit and maintain functional descriptions, system specifications, special reports, and customer deliverables using standard documentation tools.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, accessible documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications.
- Work with developers and engineering teams to ensure quality documentation and accurate technical materials.
- Support the preparation of reports, briefings, contract deliverables, and administrative documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and technical writers to create and maintain Salesforce web pages that capture FAQs and technical information.
- Work with PMO staff to develop cloud capability webpages across multiple vendors.
- Develop and manage Salesforce workflows to track customer interactions, feedback collection, and reporting.
- Organize feedback data to support government review and prioritization.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise in cybersecurity, system documentation, and security engineering practices.
Education:
- BA/BS degree (or equivalent).
- Preferred: BS degree in Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
Experience:
- 10 years of recent relevant experience, with at least 5 years in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience working in large, complex IT environments.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and operational environments.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for interaction with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects from different requestors simultaneously.
- Specialized knowledge or skills may be accepted at Government discretion.
Certifications:
Required:
- Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III role: System Administrator (451), Systems Security Analyst (461), Vulnerability Assessment Analyst (541), or Information Systems Security Manager (722).
AND must possess certifications:
- One of the following:
- FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP , CCNP Security, CCSP
- AND one of the following:
- CISM, CISSO, FITSP-A, GCSA, GCIH, CPTE, CySA , CFR, GPEN, CCE, CISA, GSNA
- AND one of the following:
- CISM, CISSO, FITSP-M, GCIA, GCSA, GCIH, GSLC, CISSP-ISSMP
(Note: CISM, CISSO, GCSA, GCIH certifications fulfill both "AND" requirements.)
