Job Responsibilities
For Journeyman Electrician:
- Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance, including:
- Circuit breaker installation and repair
- Electric panel upgrades and troubleshooting
- Light fixture and outlet installations
- Generator and EV charging station installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure compliance with local and national codes.
- Mentor and guide apprentices to enhance their technical skills.
- Ensure safety compliance on all projects and adhere to company safety protocols.
For Apprentice Electrician:
- Assist licensed electricians with installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Gain hands-on experience in wiring, troubleshooting, and electrical system installations.
- Attend required training programs to work toward obtaining a Journeyman Electrician license.
Requirements
For Journeyman Electrician:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-certified).
- Proven experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical issues independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
For Apprentice Electrician:
- Company will acquire Apprentice License or Certification
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools (prior experience is a plus).
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship program and pursuing a Journeyman license.
