What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Truck Technician position at Shrader Tire and Oil?
Candidates for this position must have the skills, training, and certifications necessary to be a fully functioning truck mechanic. Truck Mechanics will operate both in the shop and using mobile repair trucks. Candidates must also have tools up to ½', air tools, and impact guns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain STO's standard of professionalism and customer service.
- Determine truck/trailer condition by inspection, diagnostic testing, and identifying worn, damaged parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work as necessary and keep up with vehicle inspection reports and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and state vehicle repair requirements.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Consistently maintain 70% Efficiency rating in mechanics.
- Certification from Diesel Mechanic School, or 3 years related experience.
- Must possess own tools including hand tools, impact guns, and other pneumatic tools.
- Valid Driver?s License with Clean driving record.
