About Us:

Shredding Hunger Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing food insecurity through surplus food recovery, strategic partnerships, and community-focused solutions. As we expand our reach and programs, we are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to support our funding initiatives and help scale our impact.

Position Overview:

This is a contract (1099) opportunity ideal for a skilled grant writer with a strong background in government funding proposals and nonprofit support. The role is primarily remote but requires availability for in-person collaboration at our West Bend, WI office once per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and identify relevant grant opportunities aligned with our mission and programs

Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and supporting documentation

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather data, program information, and metrics

Track grant application deadlines, submission progress, and reporting requirements

Maintain organized records of all grant submissions and communications

Qualifications:

Demonstrated success securing government grants; nonprofit experience preferred

Exceptional written communication and research skills

Strong understanding of grant application processes and compliance requirements

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities

Must be available for in-office meetings in West Bend, WI one day per week

Compensation:

This is a performance-based contract position. Specific compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
