Are you an experienced aquatic animal care professional with a passion for creating exceptional exhibits and leading dynamic teams?
We’re seeking a Curator of Live Animals and Exhibits to oversee all aspects of animal husbandry, life support systems, and team development—starting at the Shreveport Aquarium and growing into a key leadership role at our future Fort Lauderdale Aquarium, opening in 2028.
🌍 This is a rare opportunity to shape two world-class aquariums—one thriving and one on the horizon.
🔹 Year 1–3: Based in Shreveport, LA, leading daily operations and strengthening a skilled husbandry team.
🔹 Year 4: Relocate to Fort Lauderdale, FL to help launch a brand-new facility and lead its animal care programs from the ground up.
What we’re looking for: ✔ 3 years of leadership in aquarium husbandry
✔ Expertise in aquatic life support systems and water quality
✔ Experience with a wide range of marine and freshwater species
✔ SCUBA certified (advanced preferred)
✔ A builder of teams, culture, and exhibits
