Description : Position Summary
The Senior Site Civil Engineer / Team Lead will lead the practice area, focused on attracting, developing, and retaining top design talent to result in a high-performing team. This position is responsible for nurturing a culture of project delivery excellence, consistently resulting in on-time and within-budget projects. The Senior Site Civil Engineer is the lead Seller-Doer for this team, developing strong working relationships with agencies, municipalities, other consulting firms, as well as internal Shrewsberry leaders. This position is responsible for developing and implementing the growth strategy for the Site Civil Engineering group in close collaboration with the Landscape Architecture team, along with the Firm’s executive leadership team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for all phases of planning and design, in addition to the management of design services during construction.
- Accountable for the department's overall performance and day-to-day operations, focused on meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Market Site Civil Engineering services to current and new clients; grow backlog of work for the practice area.
- Lead client manager for targeted key clients.
- Work with technical staff and marketing to develop winning proposals, including innovative technical approaches and client interview presentations.
- Participate in proposal presentation, interviews, and business development activities.
- Assist in the planning, design, monitoring and / or managing of project and programs for substantial new construction and renovation projects.
- Assign tasks / projects to staff and coordinate a team effort to support the project.
- Manage Scope, identify and document changes in scope, and seek amendments for changes.
- Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFI’s), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions.
- Skilled in developing the scopes, schedules, and budgets (e.g., work-breakdown structures, man-hour justifications, etc.) for projects / pursuits, and able to clearly articulate constraints and tradeoffs to clients as well as to members of the project team(s) executing the work.
- Cultivate a strong QA / QC culture for the practice area.
- Consistently deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to the client’s project scope.
- Foster a positive collaborative environment between practice areas and offices; promote Shrewsberry culture.
- Utilize ERP software for successful project management, timely invoicing of clients, and accurate / timely reporting of expenses and time.
- Serve as senior project manager and / or project subject matter expert on specific tasks / projects.
- Identify schedule and cost variances, then develop and implement recommendations for corrective action.
