The Assistant Principal will need to develop and maintain strong collaborative parent, staff, and community relationships.The successful candidate will work collaboratively to provide school-wide leadership. Assistant principals share a number of responsibilities including leading or assisting with selection of faculty and staff; working with other leaders and faculty members to develop student schedules; developing the master schedule; overseeing student support services; working with faculty and students on co-curricular activities; supervising and monitoring student attendance; actively involving parents in the educational process; conducting teacher observations and evaluations; assisting in maintaining a respectful environment throughout the school community; coordinating building facility needs; coordinating transportation and food service needs; supporting curriculum and professional development programs and implementing student assessments.
The assistant principal serves as a grade-level administrator, working with students and parents throughout their two-year middle school experience.The Oak Middle School community serves students in grades seven and eight. The salary range is $115,320-$137,079 based on years of experience as an assistant principal. The position includes a full benefits package including health care insurance, sick and personal time, and tuition reimbursement.
