Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a Full time Maintenance Assistant
Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehab Center (http://www.shrewsburynursing.com) a skilled nursing facility located in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts is looking for a Full Time Maintenance Assistant. We specialize in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care. SNRC also maintains a strong palliative care practice as well as respite care and hospice care. SNRC is located on a 30-acre park-like campus.
Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant
Perform routine building maintenance duties, including but not limited to painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor.
Comply with all safety and health regulations.
Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor.
Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors.
Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant
Long term care experience preferred
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus but not required.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents.
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
Will be required to alternate on call status outside of normal work hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
