Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join our Office of Philanthropy as a Director of Philanthropy. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and stewarding prospective donors to secure donations in support of our mission.
About the Role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive major giving program to build relationships with key donors and corporations.
- Cultivate and steward leadership giving level donor relationships through personal visits, written communication, and cultivation strategies.
- Manage assigned donors, track progress, and run reports using the Blackbaud CRM database.
Responsibilities
- Work with the philanthropy team to implement the operational plans to identify and grow the number of prospective donors for major and annual efforts.
- Identify, cultivate, and steward leadership giving level donor relationships through an assigned list of donors.
- Provide staff support as assigned for fundraising committees and the Board of Governors.
Requirements
- 5 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience required, including experience with sponsorship events.
- A track record of successful fundraising or similar accomplishments is essential.
- Prior experience with Charitable Gift Annuities, bequests, and other planned giving vehicles.
