Outpatient Clinic Duties And Responsibilities
- New patient history and physical examination
- Established patient follow-up evaluation
- Order appropriate diagnostic laboratory and imaging studie
- Order appropriate medications
- Appropriate clinical decision-making and management
- Participate in development and implementation of regional outcome programs
- Assist and/or casting
- Admission history and physical examination to include surgical and rehabilitation admissions
- Daily progress notes
- Discharge notes
- Participate in patient care rounds with physicians, nursing, and rehabilitation staff
- Check wounds and incisions
- Apply/modify/remove casts
- First assist in surgery
- Master of Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent degree required
- NCCPA board certification required
- Active SC Physician Assistant license required
- Active DEA license required
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Previous experience in orthopedics and/or pediatrics highly preferred. New graduates will also be considered.
Salary : $20
