Job Overview
To provide family-centered, age appropriate clinical cardio pulmonary care. Utilize assessment findings in a timely manner to establish patient and family needs in collaboration with the health care team. Communicate findings in both verbal and written format. Seek personal / professional development; assure safe operation of life support equipment and perform other duties as required. Take a leadership role as assigned, act as a clinical resource to other departments. May precept staff after displayingproficiency. Participate in hospital / departmental committees, special projects, and research
This position is per diem, mixed shifts, non exempt and health insurance eligible. The pay range for this positon is $50.85 - $71.79/hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.
Responsibilities
- Ventilator management, high frequency ventilation, tracheostomy tube management, bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, sedation, blood gas and indirect calorimetry.
- Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through discharge, and charts appropriately
- Serves as a resource and provides education to students, nurses, and new employees as needed
- Assures safe, cost-effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areas
Qualifications
Minimum:
- CA RT Licensure
- BLS
- PALS (within 6 months of hire)
- COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster
Preferred:
- 2 years pediatric experience
- National Registration by National Board for Respiratory Care
Salary : $51 - $72
