Job Overview
Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a Certified Surgical Technologist. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. This full-time position will work ten hour shifts, 4 days per week and includes an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible to provide direct patient care during surgical procedures as the “scrub” technician to assist the “circulating” nurse.
- Maintain and prepare OR equipment, supplies, and instruments for a variety of surgical procedures.
- Performs sponge and instrument counts.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Certified Surgical Technologist
Preferred:
- 1 year experience with scrub and circulation skills
- Prior experience with sterile technique, infection control, sterilization and disinfection procedures
- Knowledge of burn and plastic procedures and instrumentation highly preferred
- ORT pediatric certification
