- Checks anesthesia equipment according to current guidelines
- Formulates anesthetic plan based on birth history, physical examination, and laboratory results
- Inserts endotracheal tubes and intravenous catheters
- Sets up intravenous and intra-arterial fluid systems appropriately
- Utilizes all current techniques of monitoring
- Ensures intra-operative patient management is appropriate
- Ensures patient management in the PACU is appropriate
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia, along with Pediatric Anesthesia board Certification (or eligibility) and board Certification in Anesthesiology.
- Must possess or be eligible for OR medical license
- Must possess or be eligible for DEA license
- Must be BLS, ACLS and PALS certified
- 3-5 years of post-fellowship experience is preferred, but graduating fellows are encouraged to apply
