Shriners Children’s Chicago offers specialized care for a wide range of pediatric orthopedic, bone and joint conditions, including rare diseases and syndromes. Job Overview
Schedule: Part-Time Evening Shift- 0.50 FTE
3:30pm-8:30pm or 4:00pm-9:00pm.
Weekend availability required.
Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Part-time 0.5 Environmental Services Tech I. This position is an important part of our team because you will keep the patient's room clean so the patient and family can focus on healing. The pay range for this position is $17.50/hour - $21.89/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities
- The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for cleaning all areas of the hospital and/or patient housing, in a thorough and professional manner.
- Cleaning services include sweeping, damp mopping and waxing floors, vacuuming rugs and carpets, upholstery and draperies, dusting furniture, washing walls, ceilings, air vents, woodwork, blinds, windows, door panels and base boards, disinfecting horizontal, vertical, equipment, and high touch areas.
- Leads cleaning activities in assigned areas.
- Participates in staff development and training within the department.
- Performs a variety of hard and carpet floor care to include stripping, mopping and buffing floors.
- Cleans patient rooms including discharges according to departmental procedures.
- Cleans patient and public rest rooms according to departmental procedures.
- Infection control standards are maintained through practicing standard precautions.
- High school diploma / GED
- 1 year experience in a housekeeping function; preferably within a hospital environment.
Salary : $18 - $22
