- Attend general and specialty orthopedic outpatient clinics, coordinating surgeries, diagnostic studies, and following up with patients and families
- Obtain and document appropriate health histories and perform physical exams on orthopedic and rehabilitation patients
- Order appropriate treatment and/or diagnostic studies
- Make appropriate referrals as needed
- Educate patients/parents regarding identified health conditions and findings
- Communicate with community care providers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow up requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree required
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA (or equivalent) board certification as a PNP or FNP required
- Active OR RN and APRN license required
- Active DEA license required
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in pediatrics and/or orthopedics highly preferred. New graduates will also be considered
