It is the world’s leading center for pediatric burn care and is the only American Burn Association (ABA) exclusively pediatric verified burn center in New England and New York.The Boston Shriners Hospital is one of four pediatric burn specialty hospitals in Shriners Children’s health system and provide comprehensive care for cleft lip and palate, as well as other craniofacial anomalies, with a multidisciplinary care team.
Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Pediatric Inpatient Unit.
This position is full-time, 36 hours/weekly/day night rotation/every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.
- The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
- This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.
- RN in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- BSN
- 2 years' expereince in acute care nursing
- Bilingual English/Spanish
