The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible to provide effective organization, planning, and participation in all the operations and activities of the Lewistown, PA warehouse with minimal supervision. In addition, will be responsible for assistance in overseeing the health, safety and cleanliness of the warehouse.
1. Responsible for all warehouse activities; manage receipt, staging, packing, stocking, and transport of customer orders and all resulting inventory transactions
2. To ensure accuracy of all receiving and shipping aspects including physical inventory items, documentation, pick-tickets, bill of lading, pack slips, inventory counts, and the input into the computer system.
3. Receives and logs all inventory, warehouse stocking using bar code, wireless warehouse management system to input inventory & freight data accurately into the data base.
Essential Functions
1. Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions for customer outbound orders.
2. Lift, move, sort, and organize inventory
3. To pack, and prepare, orders for deliveries; load vehicles; schedule and oversee pick-ups.
4. Determine freight carriers and to confirm shipments in system
5. Provide proof of delivery for customers
6. Coordinate and accept inbound deliveries, rotate inventory stock FIFO method.
7. Conduct inventory cycle counts, assistant in physical counts.
8. Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment – fork lift, pallet jacket, machine wrapper, etc., for inventory movement, receiving and shipping.
9. Prepare and monitor required records, logs, and reports for the warehouse system
10. Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness of warehouse.
11. Emergency deliveries to customers.
12. Update bin locations in compliance with the wireless warehouse
13. Assign bar code to all incoming inventory for wireless warehouse
14. Ensure accuracy of all shipping and receiving aspects including the physical items, documentation, bill of lading, packaging slips, etc.
15. Assist in management to reduce and dispose of obsolete inventory.
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses fork lifts, stretch wrappers and standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, package scales, filling cabinets and fax machines. This role regularly requires lifting and moving packages and equipment.
Position Type & Expected Work Hours
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with 30 minute lunch period or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with one hour lunch, if preferred.
Required Education & Experience
- 3-5 years related experience with shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory management
- Fork Lift experience preferred but not required
- Computer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Recent experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Associates to bachelor’s degree preferred; not required.
