Job Summary:
- We are looking for an experienced GXS EDI Developer/Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using the GXS AI Workbench/TradeGuide for developing and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions.
- This role involves designing, mapping, and maintaining EDI interfaces, ensuring efficient data exchange between internal systems and external business partners.
- The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, troubleshoot, and optimize EDI processes to enhance business operations.
- Design, develop, and implement EDI mappings using GXS AI Workbench/TradeGuide and Enterprise Gateway (EG) running on webMethods Integration Server for multiple EDI transaction sets (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, shipping notices, etc.).
- Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications for EDI solutions.
- Perform complex EDI mapping and configuration for different data formats such as X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
- Work with the GXS EG platform to configure communication protocols (e.g., AS2, VAN, FTP, SFTP) and facilitate seamless data exchange between systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDI mapping, data transformation, and transaction errors in a timely manner.
- Support the integration of external business partners and trading networks by developing new mappings and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor EDI transactions for accuracy, completeness, and security, ensuring on-time data exchanges and resolution of any errors.
- Collaborate with internal teams (business analysts, developers, and IT) to streamline EDI workflows, improve integration processes, and address technical challenges.
- Perform EDI system maintenance, including software updates, patching, and configuration changes.
- Provide comprehensive documentation for developed EDI mappings, processes, and configurations.
- Work on ongoing performance improvements and provide recommendations for optimizing EDI workflows.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with GXS AI Workbench/TradeGuide/EG and related EDI technologies.
- Experience with GXS running on webMethods platform and with webMethods Integration Server/Trading Networks.
- Expertise in creating and managing EDI mappings for formats such as X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
- Solid understanding of EDI communication protocols including AS2, VAN, FTP, and SFTP.
- Proficiency in analyzing and resolving EDI transaction issues and mapping errors.
- Experience with the integration of EDI solutions into SAP.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and resolving root causes of data or transaction failures.
- Knowledge of SQL and databases, and ability to perform data validation and extraction.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with business partner onboarding, EDI testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage multiple EDI projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification in GXS, EG, EDI, webMethods or related fields.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Prior experience with business partner communication and EDI-related troubleshooting in a production environment.
