Senior Specialist, eCommerce Operations & Developer

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Specialist, eCommerce Operations & Developer to manage and optimize our eCommerce platforms. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless setup, maintenance, and enhancement of our Adobe Commerce (Magento) environments and NetSuite systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive business goals. Responsibilities

Platform Administration & Optimization

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory within NetSuite Commerce and Adobe Commerce.
  • Develop and implement workflows to streamline product setup, launch, and maintenance processes.
  • Ensure product data feeds are accurate and complete.
  • Monitor site performance and uptime, addressing technical issues as they arise.
  • Improve site usability and conversion rates through optimization strategies.
  • Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed while addressing technical debt.
  • Build and maintain complex product catalogs and business rules within these platforms.
  • Analyze and optimize eCommerce operations workflows, including order processing, fulfillment, and returns management.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational inefficiencies, working closely with internal teams to implement solutions.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Owners, Finance, and IT to align eCommerce functionalities with business strategies.
  • Partner with Customer Service and Fulfillment teams to enhance order processing, shipping, and returns efficiency.
  • Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, custom code, integrations, and business rules.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on eCommerce platform functionality and best practices.

Technical Development & Integration

  • Develop and implement custom modules, extensions, and integrations for Adobe Commerce.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure seamless API and ERP integrations (NetSuite experience is a plus).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to product setup, order processing, and fulfillment.
  • Conduct testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) to ensure high-quality deployments.
  • Project Management

  • Manage multiple eCommerce projects in collaboration with the eCommerce Manager, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Use Agile or other project management methodologies to plan and track initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance eCommerce performance.
  • Education & Experience Requirements

    Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience :

  • 3-5 years of experience in eCommerce operations and development, with expertise in Adobe Commerce (Magento) and NetSuite Commerce.
  • 1-2 years of experience with project management methodologies (Agile preferred).
  • Experience integrating eCommerce platforms with ERP (NetSuite a plus), CRM (Salesforce a plus), and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience managing complex product catalogs and business rules.
  • Experience with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end concepts.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Commerce administration, configuration, and customization.
  • Knowledge of SEO, conversion rate optimization, and eCommerce best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high ownership and accountability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR or association industry trends and practices is a plus.
  • Certifications

  • SCRUM certification is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements

    This position operates in a typical office environment and requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements may include :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and using office equipment.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

The office environment includes a standard workstation setup with collaborative spaces, while remote work requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home workspace. Employees must maintain availability during standard business hours and adhere to company policies for both in-office and remote work.

    The hiring range for this position is $78,000 to $95,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
