Position : Event Promoter - North County
Shugarman’s Bath is looking for an enthusiastic Event Promoter to assist us with our booth at The Shoppes at Carlsbad Mall, as well as at events like Home Shows, Fairs, and Farmers' Markets in the North County area. This role will primarily take place at the mall, especially on weekends, with additional opportunities at local events.
As the "face" of our company, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers. Your primary responsibility will be engaging with prospects, answering questions, and setting appointments for our Design Consultant to provide FREE In-Home Consultations for bathtub and shower replacements.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone that enjoys interacting with people and wants to gain more experience in sales. If you have strong customer service skills and believe in your sales potential, you have a chance to make a lot of money!

What You’ll Do :
Book appointments for customers to meet with our design team.
Engage with attendees and customers at our company booths located at The Shoppes at Carlsbad, especially on weekends, and occasionally at farmers' markets and local events in North County.
Answer any questions about our bath remodel process— don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything!
Provide sales and marketing support in building a pipeline of leads to meet company quotas and objectives.
Represent Shugarman’s Bath in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.

You have reliable transportation and can drive to the home shows / events
You have a valid driver's license
You are ok working outdoors and indoors, such as fairgrounds, home expos and various locations
You are okay with being on your feet during prolonged periods
You are able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. This could involve tasks such as moving event materials or assisting with physical event arrangements
What You Should Know :
Schedule : Varies; typically 3-4 days and 4-6 hr shifts. The average is 20hours per week.
Employment Type : Part-Time
Compensation :
Hourly Rate : $20 per hour
Bonus Opportunities : Earn a bonus for each appointment you book that results in an in-home demonstration by our design consultant.
Potential Earnings : With bonuses, you could potentially make $80,000 per year. For example, if you work 4 days, 20 hours per week and schedule 2 appointments per day, you can make $1,200 per week, which totals $62,400 per year. If you make 3 appointments per day, you can make $1,600 per week, which totals $83,200 per year. It’s all in your hands.
Mileage Reimbursement : Available when working at events other than the mall.
Paid Bi-Montly
401k : Eligible to participate in the company 401(k) after 90 days.
Note :
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in sales and customer service is preferred
The successful candidate will be subject to our pre-employment background check, and drug screening.
