Contract Low Latency J2EE & DB Developer
MUST be local to New York City. Hybrid schedule, at least 3 days onsite
Seeking an experienced Java Developer to design and develop a low-latency electronic trading platform. This role involves collaborating with trading and quantitative teams to deliver innovative solutions in a greenfield project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop architecture for a low-latency electronic trading platform.
- Continuously enhance platform capabilities post-delivery.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the team.
- Participate in all software delivery lifecycle phases.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of enterprise Java development experience (JDK 11 or 17).
- Expertise in asynchronous, event-driven programming and concurrency.
- Experience with low-latency, high-throughput trading applications.
- Proficiency with tools like Spring, Apache Camel, REST API, JMS (Active MQ), SQL, and enterprise monitoring.
- Familiarity with capital markets, including pricing, trade execution, and related systems.
Education:
- B.S. in Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
